Booked double room, that was provided with a spacious bathroom, a comfortable bed, for example. The breakfast offered a good choice of excellent meals. The location was ideal and magnificent, near the pub, Knowsley Safari Park, which is literally a 3 minute drive, and nearest shop. Fantastically friendly and excellent staff, everything was fine.

Friendly staff made me feel welcomed.
I was disappointed to find the room had no wardrobe at all. My clothes ended up crammed into a couple of coat pegs, frustrating for a two-night stay. There were cleaning issues, and the milk for tea was stored in a different building, causing hassle each time I needed it.

I had a comfy stay with a nice, cozy bed and a chef who whipped up breakfast just for me, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel has a great lounge area to chill and a nice garden for some fresh air. They could use a few more amenities in the room, like an iron or a clothes hanger, but it didn't spoil my experience. 😊

The bar area has a lovely vibe for a pint after exploring nearby eateries like Pinion and The Oven Pizzeria. The staff also pulled through with a decent breakfast when I asked. Cozy pub atmosphere for sure!
Dinner service was a bit of a faff. We ordered two mains but only got one plate, and brekkie was a bit of a kerfuffle too with lukewarm tea and cold toast.

Could use a wardrobe for extra storage.

I enjoyed my stay in the Beautiful King Room. The location offered easy access to the Shakespeare North Theatre, and the clean, comfortable room. Just lacked a bit of hanging space for clothes.

Super comfy stay close to theatre!
The location was perfect, just a short walk to the theatre. Our room had these super high ceilings and massive windows. Super clean and comfy too! We took advantage of the onsite parking. A downside was that breakfast wasn't provided, but prices were still good with gluten-free options available.
